Planted by Oregon wine pioneer Dick Erath in 1983, the historic Prince Hill Vineyard is a 34-acre site with a prime south-facing position in the heart of the Dundee Hills.
Situated among the highest spots in the Willamette Valley, the vineyard benefits from the uniquely temperate, protected microclimates in Oregon’s generally cool growing conditions. Prince Hill’s iron-rich volcanic clay loam soils offer the vines swift drainage, ample mineral resources and moderate fertility to produce grapes of intensity and complexity.

Characteristics
The single vineyard Prince Hill Pinot Noir is taken primarily from blocks of Dick Erath’s famous Clone 95. High-toned aromas of spice, dark flowers, green forest and minerally earth overlay the wine’s focused core of ripe black cherry and purple plum. Fluid and graceful on the tongue, its depth and concentration are evident from the lush, expansive mid-palate to its sweet, fine-grained tannins.
